Iphone 4 Documentary Making of Pokeweed

There are very few creators I know who are as talented as Drew Pocza.  His amazing comic strip Pokeweed tells a story of a boy and his snow man.  It is utterly creative and always a joy to read.  This video is a glimpse into his process in creating a single comic strip.

Arnold – Great documentary my friend! Love the ambient soundtrack too! Did you compose this song? If so, nice!!

Drew – If it wasn’t for Arnold’s blog, I probably would never have found out about Pokeweed. LOVE this strip! Just read all the strips from January through March!! Had to stop myself for tonight or won’t have anything to look forward to tomorrow : ) Also, what is the drawing tablet you are using? I want one!!

Thanks so much! The comments made my day. am gathering up samples for syndicates, and really needed to hear/read those words. Much appreciated. I work all digital as you can see, but on a Wacom Cintiq12″. AMAZING tool.

      Thanks again!

Arnold – I love living vicariously through other creatives! Thanks for the amazing documentary! Can’t wait to see more.

Drew – Thanks for sharing your creative process! Very inspiring! PS – I’m holding out for when (and if) the iPad can be used as a drawing tablet!! (hint hint Steve Jobs)… Kinda like how I’m holding out for when the iPhone is available on Verizon!? Love your strips with the old school “can and string”, super funny concept!

Gene, I love the Cintiq. And would kill for a modbook. But they are way too spendy. Maybe the next gen ipads will be better for drawing. But I would love one now for a portfolio if nothing else!
